Introduction

The Business School(Entreprenurship School), herein after referred to as “The School”, is located in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and is the first humanist and social science college approved by Sun Yat-Sen University in Shenzhen campus since 2021. The School, building on the university's deep cultural tradition and academic foundation, serves the national innovation-driven development strategy and focuses on economics and several areas under Business Administration discipline, including Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Accounting, and Marketing, etc. In respond to the high-quality development requirements of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao economic circle, the School will continue to enrich and develop Economics and Management theories with Chinese characteristics based on a systematic review of the valuable experiences of China's economic and social development.

The School has established a comprehensive high-level talent-cultivation system from undergraduate to doctorate. Rooting in the innovative environment of the Greater Bay Area, the School exploits the superiorities of Shenzhen's advanced high-tech industry, financial market and the opportunity in building a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and strives to cultivate first-class interdisciplinary innovators in economics and management who can contribute to the high-quality economic and social development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, China.

As an important part of the strategic cooperation between Sun Yat-Sen University and Shenzhen to build a world-class university, the School conducts scientific researches guided by the "Four Orientations" and focuses on bringing in promising young scholars. The School aims to build a talent team aligned with national strategic needs and local economic and social development. By strengthening fundamental research, the School supports the development of the Shenzhen campus and contributes to Sun Yat-sen University's goal of becoming a global leading university of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
