Education is pivotal to the enduring prosperity of a country. General Secretary Xi Jinping stated that,“We will continue to give high priority to the development of education, build China’s self-reliance and strength in science and technology, and rely on talent to pioneer and to propel development. We will speed up work to build a strong educational system, greater scientific and technological strength, and a quality workforce. We will continue efforts to cultivate talent for the Party and the country and comprehensively improve our ability to nurture talent at home. All this will see us producing first-class innovators and attracting the brightest minds from all over.” The Business School (Entrepreneurship School) is located in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and is the first humanist and social science college approved by Sun Yat-Sen University in Shenzhen campus since 2021. The School actively responds to major development strategies of China and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by developing Theoretical Economics discipline and Business Administration discipline. The School focuses on scientific research in key areas of Economics and Business Administration, striving to enrich and develop economic and management theories with Chinese characteristics.

Ever since its establishment, the School has always adhered to the Party's education policy and the socialist orientation. The School upholds the education philosophy of cultivating talent for the Party and the country to ensure that education performs its fundamental mission of fostering virtue. The School also focuses on students' growth, pursues all-round education in the whole process and develops students' “Learning Ability, Thinking Ability, Action Ability” to meet the “4I” talent cultivation requirements- “Integrity, Innovation, Influence, and Identity”. The School cultivates high-level, inter-disciplinary and innovative economic management professionals to support the economic development of the country and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
