Biography

Dr. Juanyi (Lorie) Chen, Associate Professor at Business School, Sun Yat-Sen University(SYSU). She received her Ph.D. from Jilin University in 2019, and visiting scholar supervised by Professor Garry Bruton from Texas Christian University in the U.S. Before she joined Business School, she previously worked as postdoctoral fellow at School of Business, SYSU. Her research interests covers entrepreneurship, family business, and corporate governance. Her work has appeared in Journal of Business Venturing, Global Strategy Journal, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, among other academic outlets. She is a host of the Youth Science Foundation of China funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Two of her coauthored articles concerning entrepreneurship and poverty alleviation were selected as the ESI Highly Cited Papers by Clarivate from 2020 to 2024. She is currently also working at the editorial office of Asia Pacific Journal of Management and Quarterly Journal of Management. She also serves as Ad Hoc Reviewers of Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, among other academic outlets.
