Academic Master Program of Business Administration

Objective

 

The discipline is guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implements the Party's education policy, and carries out the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. The core of the program is ideological and belief education, and the aim is to cultivate high-level professionals who are fully developed in virtue, intelligence, physical fitness, beauty and labor and possess social responsibility and innovation spirit.

 

The Academic Master Program of Business Administration aims to cultivate students who are dedicated to scientific endeavors, possess strong moral character and scientific literacy, maintain good physical health, and have sound psychological qualities. The program cultivates professionals that master the basics of management and economics theories, enjoy a keen interest in research and a rigorous research attitude, excel at quantitative and qualitative analysis methods as well as data processing techniques, know about the academic frontiers and trends in the field, demonstrate a certain level of innovative capacity in academic research, and are skilled at identifying scientific research questions and conducting specialized academic and applied research in the field.

 

 

Program Duration

 

The length of schooling for academic master program is three-year, with the longest learning period not exceeding five-year (including time for suspension).

 

 

 Cultivation Method

 

The program implements a tutorial system, fully leveraging the role of academic tutors in guiding graduate students. Academic tutors are responsible for helping students develop the personal curriculum plan, select courses, engage in coursework, participate in academic activities, choose thesis topics, conduct scientific research, and write academic papers. Academic tutors will conduct regular academic exchanges with students and strengthen political and ideological work. Besides, the school has established a graduate student advisory group composed of academic tutors and relevant personnel to conduct periodic assessments of the students.

 

 

Curriculum

 

Fundamental and required specialized courses include Frontiers in Management Theory, Frontiers in Management Research Methods, Advanced Microeconomics, and Advanced Econometrics. Specialized courses are offered based on students' research interests, including advanced topics and research methods in their chosen field. Elective courses include Frontiers in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Experimental Research Design, and Empirical Accounting Research. These courses can broaden students' knowledge and disciplinary scope and enhance their ability to extend and integrate into fields related to economic management.
